About Thomas Brinton…

Thomas Brinton, 7, was a finalist in the IPPA International Conero Piano Competition after winning gold in the Midwest division in February 2024. He was accepted to the Manhattan School of Music summer program for classical piano in New York City in July 2024 – the youngest pianist allowed into the program.  He was also the winner of the 1st grade division and the 1st-3rd grade duet division with his partner at the 2023 MMTA state competition and has also received superior ratings in the 2023 Sonatina/Sonata festival and Federation piano competitions.  Thomas was recently a featured performer for a piano concert for a sell-out crowd of 1,000 attendees in St. Louis, MO in March 2024 and was a guest on Classic 107.3 to discuss his love of classical piano. Thomas is a member of the St. Louis Children’s Choirs and enjoys competitive swimming and playing tennis.  He studies with Helen Chiu in Chesterfield, MO.

    At just 7 years old, Thomas Brinton astounded the nearly 1000 attendees at the Skip Viragh Center during The Brinton Family Pianists concert. The energy he brought to the stage as he placed his tiny fingers on the Steinway MODEL D concert grand piano was truly mesmerizing. His rendition of Stephen Heller’s Tarantella Etude in E minor was executed beautifully, captivating the audience with his remarkable talent and youthful enthusiasm.
